NW Dots is a free, is a minimalist generative MIDI-sequencing plugin designed to turn simple motion into musical expression.

Instead of using traditional MIDI editors or step sequencers, Dots creates music by moving dots across a set of horizontal lines - each line representing a different note, rhythm layer, or musical “lane”.

You're also able to customize the MIDI generation by adjusting sliders for probability, note length, velocity and octave randomization. The entire system syncs, plays and pauses with your DAW transport, so sequences always remain in sync.

Installation

1 — Copy & paste NW Dots.vst3 from the ZIP-file to your VST3 folder (location depends on your OS).

2 — Launch your DAW and rescan VST3 plugins.

3 — Have fun.
